A large, well-run organised beach with lifeguards, a playground, water sports and a beach bar. Entry includes a sunbed. Glyfada is the liveliest town on the Athens Riviera, about 17 km south of the centre, with smart shopping streets, marinas, beach clubs and seafront cafés, and the coastal tram runs here from the city. Many organised beaches charge for entry or sunbeds in summer, and the sea is warm enough for swimming from June to October.
