A tiny, no-frills espresso bar inside the Bolani Arcade near Syntagma Square, all about the coffee: a house blend plus a rotating range of beans from local roasters, made to take away. Syntagma is the heart of modern Athens, around the square facing the Parliament, where the Evzones guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; Ermou, the main shopping street, and the National Garden start here, and the metro runs straight to the airport. Greek coffee culture is unhurried: order a freddo espresso or freddo cappuccino, the iced coffees Athenians drink almost all year, and linger as long as you like.
