The Glyfada branch of the Athens favourite for freshly roasted and ground coffee, handmade chocolates and roasted nuts, open here since 2016. Grab a coffee to go and a bag of treats for the beach. Glyfada is the liveliest town on the Athens Riviera, about 17 km south of the centre, with smart shopping streets, marinas, beach clubs and seafront cafés, and the coastal tram runs here from the city. The coastal tram and buses connect the Riviera with the centre, and a taxi from Syntagma takes about half an hour outside rush hour.
