About Ellinikon Experience Park
Next door to Glyfada on the site of Athens' old airport, the first part of the huge Ellinikon project to open: a large landscaped park with gardens, play areas and activities for children. Open daily 9am to 11pm, free entry. Elliniko, the site of the old Athens airport, is being transformed into The Ellinikon, one of Europe’s largest urban regeneration projects, with a coastal park, new homes and the Riviera Tower. The coastal tram and buses connect the Riviera with the centre, and a taxi from Syntagma takes about half an hour outside rush hour.
