About McDonald's Syntagma
Greece's very first McDonald's, opened on Syntagma Square in 1991 at the top of Ermou Street: burgers, fries, McCafé coffee and the Greek menu specials, with a view over the square. Syntagma is the heart of modern Athens, around the square facing the Parliament, where the Evzones guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; Ermou, the main shopping street, and the National Garden start here, and the metro runs straight to the airport. It is a quick, familiar stop when you want something fast between sights.
