A long, sandy organised beach by Vouliagmeni's marina, with shallow water, a playground and a casual café. A classic Athenian summer day out. Vouliagmeni is the most exclusive corner of the Athens Riviera, about 20 km south of the centre, with clear water, the Astir peninsula, the mineral-water Vouliagmeni Lake and smart seafront restaurants. Many organised beaches charge for entry or sunbeds in summer, and the sea is warm enough for swimming from June to October.
