About Industrial Gas Museum
Walk through the furnaces, gasholders and machinery of the old Athens gasworks inside Technopolis, with displays telling how gas lit the city from 1857 to 1984. Gazi grew up around the 19th-century gasworks, now the Technopolis arts centre, and is one of the busiest nightlife districts in Athens, with bars and clubs around Kerameikos metro station. Opening hours change between summer and winter and many museums close one day a week, so check before you go.
