About O Platanos

A taverna under the plane trees since 1932, serving the classics: moussaka, dolmades with egg-lemon sauce and roast lamb. Plaka is the oldest neighbourhood of Athens, a maze of lanes and neoclassical houses below the Acropolis, with tavernas, small museums and shops; it is largely pedestrian and best explored on foot. Athenians dine late, usually from 21:00, so book ahead for weekend dinners, especially at the best-known tables.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with O Platanos before you go.
