Makrygianni lies just south of the Acropolis, around the Acropolis Museum and the pedestrian Dionysiou Areopagitou promenade, so the ancient sites are only minutes away on foot. Athenians dine late, usually from 21:00, so book ahead for weekend dinners, especially at the best-known tables.
