A tiny, timeless bar hidden in an arcade off Stadiou, pouring whisky since 1972. Old-school charm and a loyal crowd of regulars. Syntagma is the heart of modern Athens, around the square facing the Parliament, where the Evzones guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; Ermou, the main shopping street, and the National Garden start here, and the metro runs straight to the airport. Athens nights start late, with bars filling after 22:00 and many staying open into the small hours.
