About Astor
A single-screen cinema in a 1930s arcade off Stadiou Street, one of the oldest in the city, known for indie films, restorations and cult seasons. Open all year. Syntagma is the heart of modern Athens, around the square facing the Parliament, where the Evzones guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; Ermou, the main shopping street, and the National Garden start here, and the metro runs straight to the airport. Foreign films are shown in the original language with Greek subtitles, except for many children’s films, which are dubbed.
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Astor before you go.
