A classic Kolonaki garden cinema hidden among apartment blocks, regularly rated one of the best summer cinemas in Athens, showing new releases in a relaxed, bougainvillea-framed courtyard. Closed for the winter; reopens in spring 2027. Kolonaki is Athens’s most elegant neighbourhood, on the slopes of Lycabettus Hill, with designer boutiques, galleries and smart cafés around Kolonaki Square, and the Benaki Museum and the Museum of Cycladic Art close by. Athens’s open-air cinemas are a summer institution: films are shown in the original language with Greek subtitles, and you can order a drink and snacks from the bar.
