Il Salumaio d’Atene is a much-loved Italian, where you eat surrounded by cured meats, cheeses and fine Italian produce, with classic pasta and antipasti. Kifissia, about 15 km north of the centre at the end of metro line 1, is the most elegant of the northern suburbs, with tree-lined streets, 19th-century mansions and smart shopping streets around Kassaveti and Levidou.
