About Panathenaic Stadium

The only stadium in the world built entirely of marble, home to the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Walk the track and climb to the royal seats. Behind it, Pangrati is a lively neighbourhood of local tavernas, cafés and bars, and the National Garden is just across the road. Go early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the midday heat and the crowds, and buy tickets for state sites online at hhticket.gr to skip the queue.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Panathenaic Stadium before you go.
