A private museum of Greek figurative painting and sculpture, free to enter. The Kouvoutsakis Art Institute is a quiet, rewarding stop, with a fine collection of Greek figurative art in elegant rooms on Levidou Street. Kifissia, about 15 km north of the centre at the end of metro line 1, is the most elegant of the northern suburbs, with tree-lined streets, 19th-century mansions and smart shopping streets around Kassaveti and Levidou.
