About SMUT
An underground venue for techno and experimental electronic music, with regular club nights and a forward-thinking line-up. Metaxourgeio, named after an old silk factory, is an up-and-coming neighbourhood west of Omonia with galleries, studios and new bars and restaurants. Athens nights start late, and clubs rarely get busy before midnight; in summer much of the nightlife moves to the coast.
