About Ioanna Kourbela
The celebrated Greek designer's shop, from a family workshop founded in 1971, known for beautiful handmade knitwear and easy, elegant clothes. Plaka is the oldest neighbourhood of Athens, a maze of lanes and neoclassical houses below the Acropolis, with tavernas, small museums and shops; it is largely pedestrian and best explored on foot. Shops in central Athens usually open Monday to Saturday, with longer hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, while many in Plaka and Monastiraki also open on Sundays.
