About Taverna Nikitas

An old-fashioned, no-frills taverna on Psyrri's main square, loved for homemade dishes such as dakos, pork souvlaki, aubergine and meatballs in tomato sauce. Busy at weekends, but worth the wait. Psyrri, beside Monastiraki, is an old craftsmen’s quarter of narrow streets and street art, full of tavernas, bars and late-night music. Athenians dine late, usually from 21:00, so book ahead for weekend dinners, especially at the best-known tables.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Taverna Nikitas before you go.
