About Herakleidon Museum
Founded in 2004 by collectors Paul and Anna-Belinda Firos, with two buildings in Thiseio showing art, including works by M.C. Escher, and hands-on exhibitions linking art, maths and science. Thiseio sits on one of the most beautiful walks in Athens, the pedestrian Apostolou Pavlou promenade below the Acropolis, past the Ancient Agora and the Temple of Hephaestus, lined with cafés facing the Parthenon. Opening hours change between summer and winter and many museums close one day a week, so check before you go.
