About Greek Film Archive

The Greek Film Archive (Tainiothiki tis Ellados) has two indoor screens and an open-air screen at its Lais centre by Kerameikos, with retrospectives, restored classics, Greek cinema and festivals such as the Archaeological Film meeting. Open all year. Kerameikos takes its name from the ancient potters’ quarter and cemetery, whose archaeological site is open to visitors, and the streets towards Gazi are full of bars and restaurants. Foreign films are shown in the original language with Greek subtitles, except for many children’s films, which are dubbed.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Greek Film Archive before you go.
