A traditional hammam on one of Europe's oldest streets in Plaka, about 100 metres from the ancient Tower of the Winds, with steam, scrub and foam rituals, massages and couples' experiences. Plaka is the oldest neighbourhood of Athens, a maze of lanes and neoclassical houses below the Acropolis, with tavernas, small museums and shops; it is largely pedestrian and best explored on foot. Book treatments ahead, especially at weekends, and arrive early to enjoy the facilities.
