A chic café-restaurant on the waterfront at Asteras Beach with a relaxed country-club feel: coffee and brunch by day, then sunset drinks on the terrace. The cocktails give the classics a Greek twist, such as a Mai Tai with Corfu kumquat and Peloponnese bergamot. Glyfada is the liveliest town on the Athens Riviera, about 17 km south of the centre, with smart shopping streets, marinas, beach clubs and seafront cafés, and the coastal tram runs here from the city. Beach clubs charge for sunbeds, and the best spots go early at summer weekends, so book ahead.
