About Paul & Alexandra Canellopoulos Museum

A private collection of Greek art spanning 5,000 years, from Cycladic figurines and Mycenaean gold to Byzantine icons and jewellery, displayed in the neoclassical Michaleas Mansion and a modern new wing on the north slope of the Acropolis, at the top of Plaka. Plaka is the oldest neighbourhood of Athens, a maze of lanes and neoclassical houses below the Acropolis, with tavernas, small museums and shops; it is largely pedestrian and best explored on foot. Opening hours change between summer and winter and many museums close one day a week, so check before you go.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Paul & Alexandra Canellopoulos Museum before you go.
