About Syntagma to the Panathenaic Stadium

Watch the Evzones at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of Parliament, then slip into the National Garden through the gates off Amalias Avenue. Follow the shaded paths past the ponds to the Zappeion, and cross Vasileos Konstantinou to the Panathenaic Stadium, rebuilt in marble for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Our advice: the full ceremony at the Tomb takes place on Sunday mornings; check the time before you set out.
