About Dioskouri
Shaded tables in the middle of the flea market overlooking the Temple of Hephaestus and the Ancient Agora: excellent coffee, ouzo and meze, and great people-watching. Monastiraki is the lively bazaar quarter below the Acropolis, with its flea market, Ottoman mosque, the Ancient Agora and rooftop bars facing the Parthenon, and its metro station links to the airport and Piraeus. Greek coffee culture is unhurried: order a freddo espresso or freddo cappuccino, the iced coffees Athenians drink almost all year, and linger as long as you like.
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Dioskouri before you go.
